Plaintiff was the administrative assistant for a non-profit that put on productions for other companies. Plaintiff’s supervisor, a man in his 60’s, sexually pursued Plaintiff despite her consistent indications that she was not interested in him and was offended by his conduct.
Defendant denied that the conduct ever occurred and alleged during the litigation that it was about to go out of business so it had no money to pay a settlement. In fact, it did go out of business during the litigation.
Winer, Burritt & Scott, LLP, was able to obtain a $250,000 settlement on behalf of Plaintiff from the non-profit’s insurance company.
RESULT: $250,000 settlement on behalf of Plaintiff
