Plaintiffs in this case received severe injuries when an airplane crashed into a shopping mall where plaintiffs were shopping.
The defendants, who were the manufacturers, suppliers and operators of the airplane, claim that the accident was unavoidable. John Winer, at the time an associate for another personal injury firm, became part of the informal steering committee of plaintiff’s attorneys that was created to litigate the personal injury and wrongful death cases, establish viable theories of fault against the manufacturer, supplier and pilot of the plane, and others involved in allegedly causing the injuries.
RESULT: Confidential settlement on behalf of plaintiffs
