$2,000,000 – Wrongful Death of Politician and Cameraman

This case involved the tragic death of a political figure and a cameraman when they went to investigate a cult. They were killed by cult members who were paranoid about an investigation.

At the time, John D. Winer was a new associate in a law firm and this was actually one of the first cases he worked on.

There were a number of other cases also brought against the cult. After a thorough investigation, attorneys were able to recover significant assets.
